Oliver Austria

A graduate of Boston University’s School of Management, Oliver Austria completed his studies in Finance and Economics. Oliver started his career in technology consulting, however, soon after, his passion for real estate brought him to the world of mortgage banking. He started in the underwriting department of a regional mortgage bank in the mid-west, learning the fundamentals of real estate financing and it’s intertwined relationship with the real estate markets. Over the next few years, he would climb the ranks at local and national mortgage banking firms. Having underwriting, sales, and operations expertise, he ultimately went on to open a successful mortgage brokerage. His years as a mortgage banker positioned him well to serve as an advisor to the needs of local and national real estate investors. In the wake of the real estate downturn, Oliver saw the opportunity to create a real estate investment firm focused on acquiring and redeveloping distressed real estate. Boston Real Estate Solutions, LLC (BRES) was born in 2007, and since its inception, it has redeveloped several millions of dollars of distressed residential and commercial real estate. Oliver is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate.

Jeffrey Austria

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, and a graduate of The University of Massachusetts in Boston; Jeff completed his studies in Psychology and Business Administration. After serving in the military, Jeff served as an internal auditor for a leading plumbing supply company in the northeast. In 2005, he pursued his entrepreneurial pursuits and partnered with Oliver Austria in building a local mortgage brokerage into one with a national presence. There, he managed a team of mortgage consultants, advising clients on real estate financing options for both residential and commercial real estate. As a founding partner of BRES, Jeff has applied his business and military experience in managing redevelopment projects and construction crews. Jeff holds a construction supervisor license and has overseen several millions of dollars in successful construction and development projects to date. Jeff manages the day-to-day operations of the firm’s construction projects as well as evaluating new redevelopment opportunities across eastern Massachusetts.

Ruben B. Austria

Ruben holds a degree from Northeastern University’s five-year Computer Engineering program. Ruben spent 3 years at a private engineering firm where he worked as a product engineer and was quickly promoted to district sales manager in charge of 11 states. Despite his early success, Ruben quickly realized that the corporate world was not where he wanted to be. In 2005 he took his management experience to the mortgage industry where, partnering with Oliver and Jeff in helping successfully grow a startup mortgage company. There, he managed the company’s sales processes and was key in creating and implementing highly successful marketing campaigns. As a founding partner of BRES, Ruben applied his sales and marketing talents to the world of real estate investing. Ruben’s many accomplishments include hosting the Its Time To Move Up and Real Estate News You Can Use television shows - both finance and real estate news programs. Ruben is continuously improving the sales & marketing components of the firm as well as creating and implementing business systems.

David Bacani

After graduating from Boston University with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, David soon recognized the opportunity for financial and professional advancement in the real estate industry. David applied the management and operational skills he developed over the past 20 years in his family’s successful international shipping business to real estate. David is vital in the acquisition of new redevelopment opportunities. He is primarily responsible for the due diligence on new acquisitions as well as the management of properties in our rental portfolio. David is also in charge of identifying new investment opportunities in apartment communities throughout the country. David is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate.
